VibeDiary (“the App”, “we”, “our”, or “us”) is a private diary. What you write stays on your phone, encrypted, and is never sent to us. This Privacy Policy explains what limited data we do collect, why, and how you control it.

By continuing past the first screen of the App, or by using it, you agree to the practices described in this policy.

1. Information We Collect

a. Your diary (stays on your phone)

Your entries, titles, text, photos, videos, voice notes, drawings, stickers and tags are stored only on your device, in an encrypted database. The encryption key is kept in your phone’s secure storage (Android Keystore or iOS Keychain).

We never receive, read or store what you write. If you turn on Google Drive backup (Section 2), your diary is encrypted on your phone before it leaves it.

b. Account information (Google Sign-In, optional)

You can use VibeDiary without an account. If you sign in with Google, we receive:

c. Device identifier

We create a one-way scrambled (hashed) identifier for your device. It stays the same if you reinstall the App on the same phone. We use it to count installs and sessions, keep your usage statistics together, and prevent abuse. It does not reveal who you are.

d. Usage information (never your words)

To understand how the App is used and improve it, we record:
